Thomas X. Glancy, Jr., became a member of the firm in 2013 after a 25-year career at a large Baltimore law firm where he was a personal injury trial attorney. Mr. Glancy brings a wealth of trial experience to the firm and its clients, having litigated hundreds of trials in state and federal courts in Maryland, the District of Columbia and California. Mr. Glancy was part of the trial team in one of the first “sick building” cases in the United States brought against the Environmental Protection Agency, and has been involved in other novel and complex tort actions including air crashes, toxic exposure cases, catastrophic construction and motor vehicle accidents and medical malpractice litigation. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants and brings a reserved and polished persona to the courtroom. Mr. Glancy is a complement to the firm’s team of litigation attorneys who have successfully recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for their clients.
Mr. Glancy obtained his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary (1976) and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law (1980). He is admitted to practice in Maryland (1980), the District of Columbia (1993), California (1985 inactive), and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Maryland Association for Justice and the Bar Association of Baltimore City. He serves on the committee of law and public policy at the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland and is the president-elect of the board of directors of the Public Justice Center.
